160 Years – A Journey Through Generations
Our story began 160 years ago. Back then, small in scale but full of courage and driven by the vision to create something lasting. From those early days, over generations, a family business has grown that today looks back on an impressive tradition.
A company is more than just its numbers and its history. It is the people who shape and define it. Employees who put their hearts into their work. Partners who accompany us on our path. Customers who place their trust in us and affirm every day that we are on the right track. Without all of them, 160 years would not have been possible.
Earlier this year, a new chapter in our story began: Ralf Hunke entered his well-deserved retirement. We sincerely thank Ralf for his many years of commitment and the valuable contributions with which he has left a lasting mark on our company. Thomas Pomp remains owner and managing director. Joining him now is his daughter, Christin Pomp. Together, father and daughter are leading our company into the future – combining experience, courage, inventive spirit, and fresh ideas, blending tradition with progress.
160 years are not just an anniversary but also a promise: we will stay true to our values, continue to grow, and look to the future with confidence.
With deep gratitude and joy, we celebrate this special milestone and invite everyone to look back on this journey with us and forward to what’s ahead. For, as Thomas More (1478–1535) once said: “Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire.”
We launched our 160th anniversary with a company celebration. In a festive atmosphere with live music, culinary delights from the Bergisches Land, and true craftsmanship, we laughed together and shared memories.
