Extend cylinder head drills? No problem!!!

Who doesn´t know that problem, you have to make a hole in wood in Ø 40mm with a depth of 150 mm and the length of the Forster drill is not enough. For these and many other cases FAMAG offers drill extensions.

Each extension is provided on the shaft with three clamping surfaces and has at the front end a mounting hole with four clamping screws. These clamping screws are offset in pairs by 120°. Thus you can fix on two of the three clamping surfaces of the Bormax Forstner Bit. There are extensions with different mounting holes in diameter 8, 10, 12 and 13mm, depending on the shank diameter of the different drills. They are available in four different overall lengths of 80 mm, 125 mm, 250 mm and 400 mm.

By the four clamping screws and the three faces on the shaft, it is also possible to combine several extensions each other. Thus, it is possible to achieve even greater usable length. Here the tolerances of the mounting holes and the shafts are designed so that, even when using several extensions, a precise concentricity is ensured.

They are also available in Set´s!

Since very recently provide FAMAG the drill extensions also in Set´s in a wooden box. The set is available in two versions, one with the mounting hole 8 mm in diameter and in the other variant with the mounting hole of Ø 10 mm (useable with all Bormax-Forstner drills from Ø 22 mm to 54mm) In these Sets are three extensions in total length 80 mm, 125 mm and 250 mm.
