The wood drills of FAMAG series 1594/1595/1599 are counted among to the highest quality HSS drills in woodworking at all. One characteristic of these drills (high recommended to our long series 1599) is the fully grounded deep-hole spiral. It transports out even wet wood chips from deep-hole drilling. Due to the ideal chip removal, heating is reduced significantly.

With FAMAG HSS-G wood drills it is possible to drill off the reel over the complete spiral length, while chips are removed just like on screw conveyor. Even with drill length 315 and 400 mm!

In order to make a very clean hole entry roughing taps are required. Of course, these drills have two CNC-ground roughing taps. For optimal hole edge quality, we have gained a lot of experience and grind to a sophisticated geometry: Made in Germany!
These drills are produced in the standard version from diameter 2 up to diameter 20 mm (in steps of 0,5 mm). In additions, we offer the diameters 3 to 16 mm in lengths of 150, 250, 315 and 400 mm.
Due to risk of fracture drilling diameters 3 and 4 mm in a free hand application we recommend cautious start of drilling. Tip: put the center point on the surface before turning the machine on.
In addition to the individual diameters and lengths there are also sets available. Either in quality Rose-Boxes or in proven FAMAG-wood boxes. By the way, also Made in Germany; from the Black Forest!
