Countersink Bormax® 2.0 WS for Auger bits
If construction timbers to be connected together, there are various possibilities. A traditional and popular connection type is bolted connections using threaded rods or screws, washer and nuts.
On this, there are standards that prescribe to the thread used the dimension of the disc.
If the rule says it or it should be an optically invisible connection, the washer and the nut must be sunk into the wood. In practice, the carpenter drills according to the used thread with an auger bit a through hole in a wooden beam. In general, it is soft wood or wood construction. For sinking the washer/nut the carpenter uses a counterbore … but wait! We can do it at one go:

can drill and countersink in one work process. Thanks to the new Bormax®
2.0 geometry racier than ever! Less friction due to the two main
cutters with chip breaking grooves and the new cooling fins on wave-form
cutting teeth. Working more precise, faster, longer and with less
effort than ever! The Countersinks series 1411 fit all FAMAG-Auger bits
series 1410 and 1414 with a shank-Ø 13 mm (all Auger bits from Ø 14 mm
on, regardless of length). Available in Ø 40 mm, 50 mm, 60 mm and 70 mm.
